I am now in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh (UP for short). From a tourist point of view, everything in Agra is about the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world. This enchanting mausoleum  built in white marble and red sandstone took an estimated 20,000 workers 22 years to complete (1631 to 1652  A.D.).

The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, as the mausoleum of his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Mumtaz died in 1631, after complications with the birth of their fourteenth child.
